Il FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) può confermare che un totale di sette team gareggeranno nella prossima stagione 2024 della serie, schierando formazioni competitive nelle principali classi della categoria WSX 450cc e SX2 250cc.
Con quattro piloti per team, due piloti per classe, un totale di 28 piloti a tempo pieno, più quattro wildcard per evento, si sfideranno nella campagna che inizierà il 26 ottobre 2024 con l’inaugurale WSX Canadian Grand Prix, che si terrà al BC Place di Vancouver, nella Columbia Britannica.
Dopo il WSX Canadian Grand Prix, la stagione 2024 continuerà all’HBF Park di Perth, in Australia, dove WSX disputerà il suo primo evento double-header (Round 2 e 3). La stagione si concluderà poi all’Etihad Arena di Abu Dhabi, negli Emirati Arabi Uniti, il 4 dicembre, la stessa settimana del Gran Premio di Formula 1 di Abu Dhabi.
Tom Burwell, CEO del FIM World Supercross Championship, ha affermato: “Con sette team di livello mondiale confermati per la nostra prossima stagione, il 2024 si sta delineando molto, molto bene. Oltre al ritorno del nostro due volte campione del mondo in carica, Ken Roczen, abbiamo una lunga lista di piloti che siamo entusiasti di rivelare, tra cui alcuni nuovi nomi e il ritorno di alcuni volti molto familiari delle stagioni passate. Seven teams to contest 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship season |
FIM World Supercross Championship confirms seven teams for 2024 season across WSX and SX2 classes
The FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) can confirm that a total of seven teams will compete in the series’ upcoming 2024 season, fielding competitive lineups across the category’s premier WSX 450cc and SX2 250cc classes.
With four riders per team – two riders per class – a total of 28 full-time riders, plus four wildcard entries per event, will contest the campaign which will commence on 26 October 2024 with the inaugural WSX Canadian Grand Prix, held at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Following the WSX Canadian Grand Prix, the 2024 season will continue at HBF Park in Perth, Australia, where WSX will contest its first-ever double-header event (Rounds 2 and 3). The season will then conclude at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 4 December – the same week as the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
