CAMPIONATO ITALIANO MOTOCROSS 2024 – RD6 PIETRAMURATA! RISULTATI!

Pietramurata (TN), 13 ottobre 2024 – La Desmo450 MX vince al debutto il primo titolo di Ducati nel Motocross. Dopo una stagione esaltante iniziata con una vittoria al debutto, Alessandro Lupino, pilota ufficiale di Ducati Corse Off-Road, ha conquistato il Campionato Italiano Motocross MX1 nell’ultimo round, disputato ad Arco di Trento. Un successo che conferma la validità del progetto, nato per sviluppare una gamma completa di moto e motori Ducati per il fuoristrada specialistico. La Ducati Desmo450 MX potrà essere ordinata, presso le concessionarie selezionate, a partire da inizio 2025, con consegne previste dal mese di giugno.

Sul tracciato di Pietramurata a Lupino è bastato un quarto posto nella prima manche per assicurarsi il titolo italiano, che ha permesso al pilota di Viterbo di conquistare il suo nono tricolore. Il pilota Ducati ha poi concluso in terza posizione la seconda gara, risultato che è valso al viterbese anche il terzo posto assoluto di giornata.

Alessandro Lupino: “Alla prima gara di Mantova non sapevo cosa aspettarmi da questa stagione, perché la Desmo450 MX era una moto completamente nuova. Durante la stagione però abbiamo fatto grandi miglioramenti, tutti hanno lavorato tantissimo ed ho potuto constatare la serietà e l’impegno con cui la Ducati ha affrontato questo nuovo progetto. Dal mio lato come pilota ho dato il 100% e ho anche imparato un nuovo mestiere, quello del collaudatore. Abbiamo portato a casa il titolo italiano nell’anno del nostro debutto e non era per nulla scontato. Il merito va a tutta la squadra, sia in pista che in azienda, perché hanno fatto davvero un grande lavoro! La cosa che più mi ha fatto piacere è vedere la passione che ci mettono tutti: una passione che fa sì che il lavoro riesca sempre bene. Voglio fare i complimenti a tutti: in Ducati ho trovato una famiglia e questo anno è stato speciale per me. Grazie di cuore”.

Finito il tricolore, lo sviluppo della moto da cross di Borgo Panigale continuerà durante l’inverno con i primi test di Jeremy Seewer, pilota ufficiale Ducati per la MXGP 2025 (che verrà affiancato da un secondo pilota) e successivamente inizieranno anche le prime prove del modello 250cc con Lupino e Cairoli. La moto per la classe MX2 debutterà nel tricolore 2025 con lo stesso approccio avuto per la 450: sviluppare in gara la moto che poi entrerà in produzione nel 2026.

Pietramurata (TN), 13 October 2024 – The Desmo450 MX wins Ducati’s first Motocross title on its debut. After an exciting season that began with a debut victory, Alessandro Lupino, official Ducati Corse Off-Road rider, won the Italian MX1 Motocross Championship in the last round, held at Arco di Trento. A success that confirms the soundness of the project, created to develop a complete range of Ducati motorcycles and engines for specialist off-road racing. The Ducati Desmo450 MX can be ordered at selected dealerships starting from early 2025, with delivery scheduled starting from June.

On the Pietramurata track, Lupino only needed a fourth place in the first heat to secure the Italian title, which allowed the rider from Viterbo to secure his ninth domestic crown. The Ducati rider then finished the second race in third place, a result that also earned him third place overall for the day.

Alessandro Lupino: “At the first race in Mantua I didn’t know what to expect from this season, because the Desmo450 MX was a completely new bike. During the season, however, we made great improvements, everyone worked so hard and I was able to see the seriousness and commitment with which Ducati approached this new project. From my side as a rider, I gave 100% and I also learned a new job, that of test rider. We brought home the Italian title in the year of our debut and that was far from the obvious outcome. The credit goes to the whole team, both on the track and in the company, because they really did a great job! The thing that pleased me most is seeing the passion that everyone puts into it: a passion that ensures that the work always turns out well. I want to congratulate everyone: in Ducati I found a family and this year has been special for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart”.

Now that the Italian championship is over, the development of Borgo Panigale’s motocross bike will continue throughout the winter with the first tests by Jeremy Seewer, official Ducati rider for 2025 MXGP (who will be supported by a second rider) and subsequently the first tests of the 250cc model will also begin with Lupino and Cairoli. The bike for the MX2 class will debut in the 2025 domestic series with the same approach used for the 450: develop the bike in the races that will then go into production in 2026.
