Nell’aria c’è rinnovi e scelte per il 2025, tra le voci per il Team Factory Yamaha in USA quello di Ken Roczen e, vedendo gli andazzi pare che rimarranno così come sono, anche se non è detta l’ultima, fatto sta che Justin Cooper rinnoverà con loro e rimarrà anche per i 2025!

Nell’episodio di PulpMX Show, Justin Cooper ha confermato di aver firmato nuovamente con il team Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing l’anno prossimo. Cooper è arrivato sesto nel campionato nella sua prima stagione completa di gare 450SX nel Monster Energy AMA Supercross (ricorda che ha fatto una manciata di gare a metà della stagione ’23), con un secondo posto come miglior risultato stagionale alla finale di stagione del Salt Lake City Supercross alla sua 16a partenza in un evento principale della stagione. Nella sua prima stagione nella classe regina dell’AMA Pro Motocross Championship, Cooper è arrivato quarto nel campionato, ottenendo due podi complessivi e un terzo posto, il miglior risultato stagionale, in sei manche. Il nativo di New York ha guidato molti giri nel Pro Motocross e ha avuto un anno da principiante impressionante. “Solo un altro anno con loro per ora”, ha detto Cooper del suo nuovo accordo. “È stato un anno davvero buono. Sono contenti, sono contento anch’io. Abbiamo una buona base per l’anno prossimo. È andato tutto bene, non c’è motivo di non farlo di nuovo”.

Da quando è diventato professionista alla fine del 2017 (per gli ultimi tre round del Pro Motocross), Cooper ha corso l’intera carriera da professionista con la Star Racing finora e si prevede che tornerà di nuovo al fianco di Eli Tomac e Cooper Webb per il SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) del 2025.

Justin Cooper Re-Signs with Star Yamaha for 2025

On Episode 598 of the PulpMX Show, Justin Cooper confirmed he has re-signed with the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team next year. Cooper finished sixth in the championship in his first full season of 450SX racing in Monster Energy AMA Supercross—remember he did a handful of races in the middle of the ’23 season—with a season best second at the Salt Lake City Supercross season finale in his 16th main event start of the season. In his first season in the premier class of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship, Cooper finished fourth in the championship, scoring two overall podium finishes and a season-best third place in six motos. The New York native led a lot of laps in Pro Motocross and had an impressive rookie year. “Just one more year with them for now,” Cooper told Steve Matthes of his new deal. “It’s been a really good year. They’re pleased, I’m pleased. We have a good base going into next year. It’s been all good, no reason not to do it again.”

Since turning pro late in 2017 (for the final three Pro Motocross rounds), Cooper raced his entire pro career with Star Racing so far and he is expected to be back alongside both Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb again for the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX).
