Bud Racing ha svelato la sua formazione completa di piloti della classe WSX (450cc) per il campionato mondiale FIM Supercross (WSX) 2024, con la squadra che ha confermato Cedric Soubeyras e Anthony Bourdon per la prossima stagione.

La coppia francese è composta da piloti di punta della WSX e, dopo essersi unita alla serie per la sua stagione inaugurale nel 2022, partirà per la sua terza campagna il 26 ottobre per il GP canadese WSX di apertura della stagione al BC Place di Vancouver.

Soubeyras ha rappresentato Bud Racing da quando è entrato a far parte della WSX e ha fatto passi avanti anno dopo anno per diventare un leader costante e un concorrente collaudato e rispettato nella classe 450cc della serie.

Dopo essersi piazzato settimo in classifica nel 2022, Soubeyras ha raggiunto nuove vette la scorsa stagione, concludendo al secondo posto, il migliore della serie, nella GP Race 1 del WSX Abu Dhabi GP 2023 all’Etihad Arena.

All’inizio del 2024, Soubeyras ha anche assaporato la gloria sulla scena europea, rivendicando l’ambito onore di King of Dortmund dopo aver ottenuto 2-2-1 nella 39a edizione del classico Supercross tedesco. Per la WSX, ha puntato a un ulteriore successo.

Cedric Soubeyras, pilota della Bud Racing, ha affermato: “Sono entusiasta di continuare il mio viaggio con Bud Racing nella stagione WSX 2024. Da quando siamo entrati a far parte della WSX nel 2022, abbiamo fatto passi avanti costanti insieme e dopo aver concluso al quinto posto ad Abu Dhabi l’anno scorso, abbiamo una base molto solida su cui costruire. Come piattaforma di corse, la WSX sta diventando sempre più competitiva stagione dopo stagione e questo sviluppo incoraggia ogni pilota a spingere in avanti per raggiungere e sbloccare nuovi livelli di prestazioni. Non vedo l’ora di vedere cosa possiamo realizzare insieme quando inizieremo a Vancouver”.

Bourdon, che tornerà alle competizioni 450cc questa stagione dopo essere passato alla classe SX2 250cc della WSX per il 2023, spera anche in un finale d’anno forte dopo essere emerso come concorrente emergente nell’AMA Supercross 250SX West nel 2024.

Piazzandosi tra i primi 10 nel campionato, con un miglior piazzamento al sesto posto a San Francisco e Anaheim, Bourdon è pronto per affrontare la WSX più avanti quest’anno.

Dopo aver messo in scena un finale immensamente costante nella SX2 nel 2023, il venticinquenne spera di costruire una corsa costante sulla concorrenza mentre torna nella classe regina del campionato.

Anthony Bourdon, pilota, Bud Racing, ha affermato: “Dopo aver gareggiato nella SX2 nel 2023, tornare nella classe 450cc della WSX con Bud Racing sarà una nuova entusiasmante sfida, e non vedo l’ora di affrontarla. Correre nell’AMA Supercross quest’anno, sia nella 250cc che nella 450cc, è stata un’esperienza di apprendimento fantastica, e voglio portare le mie conoscenze e le mie esperienze da lì nella WSX questa stagione. Correre a Vancouver, Perth e Abu Dhabi è un modo importante per concludere il 2024, e spero di ottenere dei risultati importanti”.

Dopo il GP canadese WSX a Vancouver del 26 ottobre, la stagione 2024 proseguirà all’HBF Park di Perth per il GP australiano WSX il 23-24 novembre per il primo evento double-header del campionato. La campagna si concluderà il 4 dicembre con il GP di Abu Dhabi WSX all’Etihad Arena.

Stephane Dassé, Team Principal, Bud Racing, ha aggiunto: “Non vedo l’ora che inizi la nuova stagione WSX. Credo fermamente nel potenziale di questo campionato, da quando ne ho sentito parlare tre anni fa, quindi non vedo l’ora di tornare a ottobre con tutto il team. Con Cedric e Anthony nella classe WSX, penso che potremo ottenere buoni risultati”.

Bud Racing has revealed its complete WSX class (450cc) rider lineup for the 2024 FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX), with the outfit confirming Cedric Soubeyras and Anthony Bourdon for the upcoming season.

The French pair are both mainstay riders in WSX, and after joining the series for its inaugural season in 2022, will set out on their third campaign on 26 October for the season-opening WSX Canadian GP at BC Place in Vancouver.

Soubeyras has represented Bud Racing since joining WSX and has taken steps forward year-on-year to become a consistent frontrunner and proven, respected competitor in the series’ 450cc class.

After placing seventh in points in 2022, Soubeyras reached new heights last season, finishing a series-best second in GP Race 1 of the 2023 WSX Abu Dhabi GP at Etihad Arena.

Earlier in 2024, Soubeyras also tasted glory on the European scene, claiming the highly coveted honour of King of Dortmund after going 2-2-1 in the 39th edition of the German Supercross classic. For WSX, he has his sights set on further success.

Since joining WSX in 2022, we’ve taken consistent steps forward together and after finishing fifth in Abu Dhabi last year, we have a very strong base to build on. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together when we get started in Vancouver.”

Bourdon, who will return to 450cc competition this season after switching to WSX’s 250cc SX2 class for 2023, is also hoping for a strong end to the year after emerging as a breakout competitor in AMA Supercross 250SX West in 2024.

Placing inside the top 10 in the championship, with a best finish of sixth in San Francisco and Anaheim, Bourdon is placed on a springboard to tackle WSX later this year.

After staging an immensely consistent finale in SX2 in 2023, the 25-year-old is hoping to build a consistent run over the competition as he returns to the championship’s premier class.

Racing in AMA Supercross this year, both in 250cc and 450cc, has been a fantastic learning experience, and I want to bring my knowledge and experiences from that into WSX this season. Racing in Vancouver, Perth, and Abu Dhabi is a big way to end 2024, and I’m hoping to deliver some strong results.”

Following the WSX Canadian GP in Vancouver on 26 October, the 2024 season will continue at HBF Park in Perth for the WSX Australian GP on 23-24 November for the championship’s first-ever double-header event. The campaign will conclude on 4 December with the WSX Abu Dhabi GP at Etihad Arena.
