MATHIS VALIN ENTRA A FAR PARTE DEL KAWASAKI RACING TEAM
Attuale leader del campionato europeo di motocross 250, Mathis Valin si unirà al Kawasaki Racing Team la prossima stagione per competere nel campionato mondiale FIM MX2. Il giovane francese, che sta vivendo un’impressionante prima stagione su una KX250 con Bud Racing Kawasaki, guiderà lo sforzo della factory in questa classe.
Dopo una carriera di successo nella classe 125, in cui ha vinto il campionato mondiale junior e ha collezionato una medaglia d’argento nel campionato europeo lo scorso anno, Mathis, che ha festeggiato di recente il suo diciottesimo compleanno, ha iniziato la sua stagione da esordiente nella classe 250cc con Bud Racing Kawasaki correndo verso la vittoria nella categoria Junior della famosa Enduropale du Touquet; da allora ha aggiunto il titolo francese Elite ed è in testa al campionato europeo EMX250 dopo sette round.
Allenato da Thierry Van den Bosch, ex campione del mondo di Supermoto, Mathis ha già vinto due round e cinque manche su diverse superfici come il terreno duro di Madrid, il fango di Saint Jean d’Angely e la sabbia profonda di Lommel.
Per il suo ingresso ufficiale nel campionato mondiale MX2 la prossima stagione con la KX250 ufficiale, il Kawasaki Racing Team ha raggiunto un accordo con il Team Bud Racing per consentire al giovane promettente di affrontare la sua nuova sfida nelle migliori condizioni. Mathis si trasferirà in Belgio alla fine della stagione per iniziare a lavorare con lo staff KRT e per preparare il suo primo tentativo nella classe altamente competitiva MX2 GP.
Mathis Valin:
“È un sogno che si è avverato! Se qualcuno mi avesse detto all’inizio di quest’anno che mi sarei unito al Kawasaki Racing Team alla fine della stagione, non ci avrei creduto. Sono felice e orgoglioso di entrare a far parte del team; penso che i miei risultati mi abbiano aiutato a guadagnarmi questa posizione e ora l’obiettivo sarà continuare a lavorare sodo per continuare a ottenere buoni risultati. È un grande cambiamento per me, ma già questa stagione ho lasciato la casa dei miei genitori, quindi trasferirmi in Belgio, in una squadra dove ci sono già alcuni ragazzi francesi, andrà bene. Quando mi è stata offerta questa opportunità di unirmi a KRT non ho esitato; inizialmente il piano era che rimanessi due anni con Bud nel campionato europeo, ma, dato che attualmente sono in testa alla serie, è già tempo di passare al campionato mondiale MX2 l’anno prossimo e farò del mio meglio per concludere questa stagione con altri successi”.

MATHIS VALIN JOINS THE KAWASAKI RACING TEAM
Current leader of the 250 European motocross championship, Mathis Valin will join the Kawasaki Racing Team next season to compete in the FIM MX2 World Championship. The French youngster, who is enjoying an impressive first season on a KX250 with Bud Racing Kawasaki, will lead the factory effort in this class.
After a successful career in the 125 class, in which he won the Junior World Championship and collected a silver medal in the European Championship last year, Mathis, who celebrated his eighteenth birthday recently, started his rookie season in the 250cc class with Bud Racing Kawasaki by racing to victory in the Junior category of the famous Enduropale du Touquet; since then he has added the French Elite title and is leading the European EMX250 Championship after seven rounds.
Trained by Thierry Van den Bosch, a former Supermoto World Champion, Mathis has already won two rounds and five motos on a variety of different surfaces such as hardpack at Madrid, the mud of Saint Jean d’Angely and the deep sand of Lommel.
For his official entry to the MX2 World Championship next season with factory KX250 machinery, the Kawasaki Racing Team has reached an agreement with Team Bud Racing to allow the young prospect to enter his new challenge in the best conditions. Mathis will move to Belgium at the end of the season to start working with the KRT staff and to prepare his first attempt in the highly-competitive MX2 GP class.

“It’s a dream came true! If anyone had told me earlier this year that I would be joining the Kawasaki Racing Team at the end of the season I wouldn’t have believed them. I’m happy and proud to join the team; I think that my results helped me to earn this position and now the goal will be to carry on working hard to continue getting good results. It’s a big change for me but already this season I have left my parental home so moving to Belgium, in a team where there are already some French guys, will be OK. When I was offered this opportunity to join KRT there was no hesitation; initially the plan was for me to stay two years with Bud in the European Championship, but, as I’m currently leading the series, it’s already time to move up to the MX2 World Championship next year and I will do my best to end this current season with some more successes.”
