KEVIN HORGMO RINNOVA CON IL TEAM SHIP PER CYCLE HONDA MOTOBLOUZ SR!

Miglior esordiente nella classe MXGP di questa stagione e attualmente ottavo nel campionato mondiale di motocross FIM, Kevin Horgmo resterà la prossima stagione con il team Ship To Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR!

Non è mai stato facile passare dalla classe MX2 alla MXGP, ma Kevin Horgmo ha fatto una stagione perfetta finora e grazie ai suoi grandi risultati (festeggia nei Paesi Bassi il suo decimo risultato nella Top 10 MXGP in sedici round) aveva diverse opzioni per la prossima stagione. Ma il giovane norvegese, che compirà 24 anni a settembre, ha scelto di continuare con Josse Sallefranque.

“Sono molto contento di rimanere qui, è un buon team per me e mi hanno aiutato ad adattarmi alla 450. L’obiettivo ora è di costruire su quello e migliorare la prossima stagione, con risultati simili o addirittura migliori ai GP e di lottare per il titolo francese. È bello partire dal sud della Francia e allenarsi con Yves (Demaria), mi ha davvero aiutato e abbiamo avuto un buon inverno che mi ha aiutato ad andare avanti nella stagione; nelle gare abbiamo un buon input e lui mi aiuta molto per le impostazioni della moto se ho qualche difficoltà. Ci alleniamo sempre insieme tra una gara e l’altra, aiuta molto a renderlo divertente; non è un problema lavorare da soli, ma è bello allenarsi con un gruppo di persone che hanno gli stessi obiettivi”, dice con il suo eterno sorriso Kevin che ha ottenuto un altro risultato nella top 10 lo scorso fine settimana.

L’allenatore dei piloti di motocross del team, Yves Demaria, non vede l’ora di proseguire questa fruttuosa collaborazione. “È fantastico continuare a lavorare insieme, perché è sempre difficile lavorare solo un anno con un pilota. Kevin migliora a ogni sessione di allenamento, a ogni gara, ha un buon rapporto con tutti i membri del team, si allena con passione e l’obiettivo ovviamente era continuare con lui. Altri team con budget più grandi del nostro si sono rivolti a lui e siamo orgogliosi che abbia preferito continuare con noi, che facciamo tutto il possibile per garantire che i nostri piloti abbiano tutti gli strumenti per esibirsi. Non sono rimasto sorpreso dai suoi risultati di questa stagione, conosco il suo potenziale perché vedo cosa fa quando si allena, ma devo dire che mi ha comunque sorpreso nelle gare nel fango”.

Il manager del team che ha creato qualche anno fa, Josse Sallefranque è ovviamente felice di continuare a lavorare con il suo giovane, veloce e sorridente norvegese. “Molto felice di continuare con Kevin, abbiamo fatto una grande stagione insieme! Non è stato facile tenerlo con noi, perché grazie ai suoi grandi risultati, altri team erano interessati a ingaggiarlo. Abbiamo dovuto lottare e siamo super felici di averlo ingaggiato. Affronterà la stagione 2025 con un anno di esperienza nella classe MXGP, conosce tutti nel team, conosce perfettamente la 450 Honda, tutti gli strumenti ci sono per esibirsi ancora di più. Un grande ringraziamento a tutti i nostri partner che ci sostengono pienamente e che ci permettono di gareggiare al massimo livello e di far brillare i loro colori in tutti i continenti!”

Best rookie in the MXGP class this season and currently eighth in the FIM Motocross World Championship, Kevin Horgmo will stay next season with team Ship To Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR!

Never really easy to move from the MX2 class to the MXGP, but Kevin Horgmo did a perfect season so far and thanks to his great results (he celebrates in the Netherlands its tenth Top 10 MXGP result within sixteen rounds) he had several options for next season. But the young Norwegian, who will turn 24 in September, choose to continue with Josse Sallefranque.

“I’m very happy to stay here, it’s a good team for me and they helped me to adapt to the 450. The goal now is to build on that and improve next season, with similar or even better results at the GP’s and to fight for the French title. It’s good leaving in South of France and training with Yves (Demaria), he really helped me and we had a good winter which help me going to the season; on the races we have a good input and he help a lot for the bike settings if I have some difficulties. We are always training together between the races, it help a lot to make it fun; it’s not a problem to work alone, but it’s nice to be training with a group of people who have the same goals” says with his eternal smile Kevin who got another top 10 result last weekend.

Coach of the motocross riders of the team, Yves Demaria is looking forward to pursuit this fruitful collaboration. “It’s great to continue working together, as it’s always difficult to work only one year with a rider. Kevin improves at each training session, each race, he has a good connection with all the team members, goes training with passion, and the goal of course was to continue with him. Some other teams with bigger budgets than us approached him, and we are proud that he preferred to continue with us who do everything possible to ensure that our riders have all the tools to perform. I wasn’t surprised by his results this season, I know his potential as I see what he do when he trains, but I must say that he still surprised me in the mud races.”

Manager of the team that he creates a few years ago, Josse Sallefranque is of course delighted to continue working with his young, fast and smiling Norwegian. “Very happy to continue with Kevin, we did a great season together! It was not easy to keep him with us, as thanks to his great results, some other teams were interested to sign him. We had to fight and we are super happy to sign him. He will approach the 2025 season with one year of experience in the MXGP class, he knows everyone in the team, he knows the 450 Honda perfectly, all the tools are there to perform even more.
