MAGGIORA (Italia) 14 giugno 2024 – È incredibile come vola il tempo, siamo già al decimo round, il giro di boa dei Campionati mondiali di motocross MXGP 2024, e questo fine settimana siamo al mitico Maggiora Park per l’ MXGP d’Italia , la sede leggendaria nella regione nord-occidentale dell’Italia, a solo un’ora di macchina dalla vivace città di Milano.

Mentre raggiungiamo questo iconico circuito, il Campionato del mondo MXGP si sta rivelando un classico assoluto poiché il campione in carica Jorge Prado, che ha conquistato qui la sua prima corona mondiale nella classe MXGP l’anno scorso, combatte con il campione dell’anno precedente Tim Gajser, con lo scambio della tabella rossa tra la coppia per ciascuno degli ultimi cinque Gran Premi! Lo sloveno è attualmente in testa con quattro punti di vantaggio, ma il ritmo di Prado lo ha visto collezionare sei trofei quest’anno e tutto potrebbe succedere!

Come se ciò non bastasse, il campione del 2021, Jeffrey Herlings, ha appena ottenuto la sua prima vittoria in GP dell’anno ed è perfettamente in grado di colmare il divario con i primi due! Come se la caverà alla sua prima gara a Maggiora dopo 8 anni?!

Nella MX2, Kay de Wolf e Lucas Coenen sono in testa, ma Sacha Coenen ha ottenuto la sua prima vittoria in un GP lo scorso fine settimana, quindi questo darà inizio ad una serie di buoni risultati per il più basso dei gemelli?! Con il campione del mondo in carica Andrea Adamo che ha urgente bisogno di vincere davanti ai suoi tifosi di casa, e Simon Laengenfelder vincitore di una gara qui l’anno scorso, la classe MX2 dovrebbe essere selvaggia e imprevedibile come sempre!

GP of ITALY 2024 – MAGNIFICENT MAGGIORA

MAGGIORA (Italy) 14 June 2024 – It’s amazing how time flies, we are already at round ten, the halfway point of the 2024 MXGP World  Motocross Championships, and this weekend we are at mythical Maggiora Park for the MXGP of Italy, the legendary venue in the north-western region of Italy, just a one-hour drive from the bustling city of Milan.

As we reach this iconic circuit, the MXGP World Championship is proving to be an absolute classic as reigning Champion Jorge Prado, who clinched his first MXGP class world crown here last year, battles with the previous year’s Champion Tim Gajser, with the red plate swapping between the pair for each of the last five Grands Prix! The Slovenian currently holds the lead by four points, but the pace of Prado has seen him collect six winner’s trophies this year and anything could happen!

As if that wasn’t enough, the 2021 Champion, Jeffrey Herlings, has just taken his first GP victory of the year and is very much capable of bridging the gap to the leading two! How will he fare in his first race at Maggiora for 8 years?!

In MX2, Kay de Wolf and Lucas Coenen are leading the way, but Sacha Coenen took his first GP win last weekend, so will this start a run of good results for the shorter of the twins?!  With reigning World Champion Andrea Adamo urgently needing victory in front of his home fans, and Simon Laengenfelder a race winner here last year, the MX2 class should be wild and unpredictable as always!
